Wearing Traditional Kua for Wedding


Qun Kua (裙褂) is a traditional outfit of Chinese Brides. Some of us just called it 'Kua'.

Red has always being identify as the auspicious color for Chinese, so this traditional outfit usually come in bright red color with auspicious embellishment such as phoenixes, dragons, peonies and etc. Each embellishment signifies good meaning e.g. wealth, prosperity, fertility, abundance and good fortune.

Some of our brides choose to go the traditional way of wearing Qun Kua as their main gown for the bride fetching during the chinese customary. Alternatively, some brides would wear it for the tea ceremony instead. Whichever way it is used, wearing this Qun Kua at wedding is definitely an auspicious gestures and show your little effort in maintaining this good tradition.
